What is the Author Priority or AP rating?

The AP rating was developed to help good authors get their work published in less time. All the articles that are currently in queue to be reviewed are ordered by the author's AP rating.

Authors with a high AP rating normally have a very short wait before their article would get reviewed and published. Meanwhile authors with a very low AP rating may never get their articles published.

There are ways to help increase your AP rating, but I won't go into that here. I would like to explain what factors make up the Author Priority Ranking:

  1. Pageviews - This should be the number one goal to the authors. An article having a high amount of traffic normally tells us that it is popular and visitors are anxious to read the content. In these cases we want to reward our authors by increasing their AP rating.
  2. Number of Published Articles - By having published articles on the Informative Post, you are already building onto a relationship with us. The more articles that you have published on our site, the higher your AP rating will increase because of it.
  3. Votes - Members of the site have the option to vote on published articles that you have written. Overtime, having a lot of Good votes can increase your AP dramatically. However, a lot of Bad votes and decrease it too. This feature is mainly used so that we can reward the authors writing good content, while hurt the ones trying to spam the site.
  4. Commenting - Authors that contribute their thoughts and views to the site by commenting on other authors' articles will notice that this will overtime increase their AP rating. Staying active with the site will help your rating greatly, and we want to provide you the tools to keep you busy.
  5. Other AP Adjustments - This is basically the "Other" category. AP points can directly be awarded for certain activities, as well as AP can be removed immediately if an author would try to submit content that has already been published somewhere else or other activities that go against the site's Terms of Service.

You might be thinking what is so important about the Author Priority. An author's AP rating is the life blood of the author on the Informative Post. Having a high AP rating will help you get your queued articles reviewed quicker and get you more money per impression that your published articles receive. How much more?

  • Less than 50: $0.25
  • Between 50 and 150: $0.50
  • Between 150 and 250: $1.00
  • Between 250 and 500: $2.00
  • Between 500 and 1000: $3.00
  • Between 1000 and 2000: $4.00
  • Over 5000: $5.00

As you can see, the higher your AP rating is the more money you can make overall from this site. If you can another other questions about the AP rating, you can let us know by contacting us from the site's contact page.

Why Feature an Article?

If you are interested in trying to create more "buzz" around your article, featuring it may be what you are looking for. Featuring will help your AP rating considerably thus shortening your review time in between articles if you have been waiting too long.

What happens when you feature an article?

Featuring an article will place your article that you feature at the top of the homepage and it's category homepage. So as you can see, doing this has the potential to greatly increase the exposure of the article. Increasing the exposure of a well written article will increase the AP rating of the author, and increasing your AP rating is very important for your success as an Informative Post writer.

When your article is being featured, all traffic that is going to that article will be multiplied by THREE! So if you get 400 impressions while the article is being featured, we will register 1200! Needless to say, this is the number one method to increase your AP rating.

How do I feature one of my articles?

You can only feature an article that you have written and has already been published on the site. You can feature your article by logging in and go to your article overview page. In the list of your published articles, you have the option to feature any article in this list.

How much does this service cost?

The service costs only $5 for 7 days. This should be more than enough to increase your AP greatly, but if you would like to feature an article longer, the price is negotiable. All payments are made through PayPal.
