Edimensional Audiofx Gaming Headset

I received this Edimensional Audiofx Gaming Headset 3 months ago in preparation for a large LAN Party held in New England. I bought them straight from the eDimensional website through PayPal, and the experience was great.

First Thoughts:

When i first received the edimensional audiofx gaming headset, it was tightly packaged in annoying plastic. The kind of plastic that requires you to cut it, and pull it apart.

Once i got past the packaging, i found a very comfortable headset. I was very pleased with the size of the cups and the padding on the headband. I truly believe this to be one of the most comfortable headsets I have ever put. I have relatively large ears, and these cups were able to comfortably fit my ears.   The only problem i had, was that the Edimensional Audiofx Gaming Headset did not extend as long as i thought it would. It fits fine for me, but someone with a long head might run into problems.

Specs For edimensional audiofx gaming headset:

Speaker:
- Driver Unit: 057mm, Colbat Magnet
- Impedance: 32 Ohm +/-10%
- Sensitivity: 106dB +/-3dB at 1 KHz
- Frequency Response: 20-20,000Hz
- Maximum Power Handling: 100t mW

Microphone:
- Type: 10mm Electrets Condenser
- Directivity: Noise Canceling
- Impedance: Low
- Sensitivity: -58dB +/-3dB
- Frequency Response: 30-16,000Hz
- Standard Operating Voltage: 5V

Music Experience:

Even though this is a Gaming Headset, I truly enjoy using the Edimensional Audiofx Gaming Headset headset for music. One of my favorite features, is the ability to have the vibration turned on. How this works is once you plug in the USB plug, the sides of the headset will light up with the extent of the vibration. So when i play a song with lots of bass, such as a Daft Punk song, my ears will gets lots of vibrations that make you feel like your at the concert.

Gaming Experience:
Since the Edimensional Audiofx Gaming Headset is a Gaming Headset, I had very high hopes for its performance during gaming. Everything i wanted, and expected was shown once I played games on it. It has increased my gameplay to a level where i can hear every footstep around me and catch every last shrapnel dropping from a explosion.

Final Thoughts:
Overall, this headset is incredible for the money i spent on  the Edimensional Audiofx Gaming Headset. It has fulfilled all that i want in a headset and more. This headset from Edimensional delivered value for gaming purposes and if i were to rate this out of 10 i would rate it a 9 only holding back from the limits of extension.

iphone alarm not working in 2011

Can’t wake up on New Year Day? iphone alarm not working in 2011

It looks like the iPhone alarm bug affects only non-recurring alarms.

iPhone Alarm Not Working in 2011 200x300 iphone alarm not working in 2011

iphone alarm not working in 2011

iPhone 4 iOS 4.2.1 iphone alarm not working in 2011. Tried different settings such as turning off automatic update and changing location. Nothing seem to be working.
Any solution? Currently, there are other forum members and tech blogs reporting the same issue. You may remember that Apple had fixed the Daylight Saving Time bug in iOS 4.2.1
But it looks like iphone alarm not working in 2011 is not limited only to iOS 4.2.1 as users are reporting the issue on iOS 4.1 and iOS 4.0.2 as well.
We’re assuming that the issue will also affect iPod Touch users.

To avoid the issue until then you need to set the alarm as a recurring alarm rather than a one time alarm by following these steps:

1. Launch Clock app
2. Tap Alarm
3. Tap Edit
4. Tap the appropriate alarm
5. Tap Repeat
6. Set a repeat interval
7. Tap Save

That’s it. In this way you can fix the iPhone Alarm bug.According to Engadget, It is one time alarms that are causing the problem, not repeats.
If you depend on the iPhone alarm clock then please be aware of the issue and the workaround to resolve the issue (at least until January 3rd).

As always, please don’t forget to leave a comment to tell us if you hit the issue and whether the workaround resolved it.

Apple iPhone 3G Review

Apple iPhone 3G is the next generation mobile phone with multimedia and internet facility.  iPhone 3G is a multi touch phone with LCD screen and provides very good optical quality. The 3.5 inch scratch proof screen is specially designed for the bare finger or multiple finger touch operation. Three sensors in the iPhone 3G, the proximity sensor switch off the touch screen when iPhone is brought near the face in order to prevent inadvertent operation of touch screen.

Ambient light sensor adjust the brightness of the screen and 3 axis accelerometer sense the orientation of the iPhone 3G and adjust the screen orientation as vertical or  horizontal. These features also, save the battery power enhancing the standby time of the iPhone 3G. The iPhone 3G has inbuilt Assisted GPS and uses cellular towers and Wi-Fi network for location finding.

The unique feature of the iPhone 3G is, it has only three buttons in the sides of the iPhone for wake/sleep, volume and ringer on/off, and all other operations are done using touch screen. Bluetooth technology has made the iPhone 3G rich in connectivity along with the Wi-Fi and cellular connection.

The battery of the iPhone 3G is not user replaceable but rechargeable. It provides 250 hours of standby battery time. The SIM card slot is located in the top of the iPhone 3G and provided with SIM card removal tool with the package. iPhone 3G comes with 2 Megapixel   camera and provides 8GB or 16GB flash drive storage facility.  The iPhone 3G supports many of audio and video formats available in the industry and it is virtually an entertainment factory.

The iPhone 3G comes with stereo earphone with microphone and video conferencing is not supported in the iPhone 3G. Apple iPhone 3G supports Windows as well as Mac OS platforms and USB 2.0 port.

Apple iPhone 3G weigh only 4.7 ounce and thickness is just 12mm and support multiple languages.  You can feel the real difference of next generation mobile technology with iPhone 3G and it is a dream of any mobile phone lover, you get entertainment, connectivity and worldwide web in you palm in a single gadget. This revolutionary mobile phone iPhone 3G will link you to the next generation mobile phone experience at once.

I have use (among others) Apple products for over 20 years and must say that these products are just always ahead of the competitors products in many areas by a few lengths nose. This applies both to PCs, iPods and the iPhone. And I just want to again distinguish between two different categories of users for the Apple Iphone 3G.

There are the normal users who want to take a simple product, and have a maximum benefit, without dealing with the configuration or complex handling of the product. Take, use, have fun and everything works is what they want. For this group of users, the iPhone 3G is the right gadget.

Then there are the users of a product that want to “fiddle around”. All they want is to manipulate the phone and change things. The iPhone 3G is not the ideal solution, because there are always difficulty in modifying the systems for Apple products. The prerequisite is that the Apple system works, and this is always the policy of Apple.

What’s so great on the Apple Iphone 3G.:
- Excellent display of glass (TOLL!)
- Innovative Multi-touch control
- Stylish Menus
- Simple device – in general everything is super-easy
- Very sophisticated operation
- Hi-Speed Internet
- Hardly any delays
- Very good reception properties
- Very good speech intelligibility
- Relatively easy to handle
- Very good feel
- AppStore with many, many – some very cool – programs

As is known, however, the Apple iPhone 3G lacks a number of features that Apple withholds partly deliberate:

- No Flash player (in my view, limited to 200MB maybe better)
- Bluetooth is not suitable for data exchange
- MMS is not possible (software, buy from the appstore or unlock)
- (Or unlock) No video recording
- No voice recording (voice recorder) or a look in the appstore!
- No voice control / recognition
- No FM radio available – or Appstore (with I-Net connection and flat!)
- Ringtones can be purchased only through iTunes – but fortunately you can find on the net for free converter, it needs to be m4r format!
- No free file manager and folder management
- To switch maps, you need a tool

The above missing features are not really important (to me), we still gets the best and coolest cell phone in the world with the Iphone 3G.

iphone 3g review Apple iPhone 3G Review

A few major competitors of the Apple Iphone 3G.:
Samsung SGH-i900 Omnia – deficiencies in the operation
Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 – slight performance problems
Nokia 5800 – not so great feel
T-Mobile G1 – my personal second favorite – but not quite so cool
and all -> no-iPhone multi-touch operation (except for G1, which is narrowly tuned and mastered it at least theoretically full)

The activation procedure with the iPhone 3G is more difficult than with other phones, but precisely because the iPhone 3G is only fully valid in combination with the Apple iTunes service is what completes its ease of use. This is already some criticism that one is forced to use iTunes. It’s perfectly legitimate if one takes a global viewpoint as the manufacturer of the market. iTunes is totally simple in construction and usage. It does exactly what it should do and synchronizes the iPhone 3G with the PC (contacts, calendar, music, movies, podcasts, backup) without error.

For users who simply need to learn fast without much new work to do, the iPhone 3G is just right. Of course there are other synchronization tools available. But why should I take another one if this work great and therefore I have access to the largest online music store in the world whenever I feel like it to buy music legally.

Also with iTunes and the iPhone to access the App Store, where more than 140,000 small programs (Apps) are available, I can just download the apps that make my life easier or just plain fun. So I can tweak the performance of my iPhone with individual apps much more than any other phone. Those who say, the apps cost money, and elsewhere apps are free of charge, are missing a point. A very large part of the apps are free here. Of my 135 apps on my iPhone 3G, there are 98 free.

iphone apple Apple iPhone 3G Review

Apple Iphone 3G is currently the easiest and most powerful phone on the market. Many competitor trying for almost 3 years to beat the Apple iPhone 3G, but in my opinion, without success. Of course there are phones with a much better camera (such as Nokia and Sony Ericsson). Of course there are smartphones with a real keyboard. The quest for the “jack of all trades” continues for everyone.

I will not say that the Apple iPhone 3G is perfect. Certainly not. But which cell phone or product is? The iPhone does have much development potential, which in part is now done in early June 2009, with the release of Apple’s new iPhone OS 3.0. Then it can send and receive mms as well, which so many people are so wildly behind. And I can send pictures with the iPhone without any problems via email, which is cheaper and the recipient can work directly with the image on their PC. Especially in the area of the Internet is indeed the strength of the iPhone 3G.

The keyboard of Touscreen for me is quite good, because I do not need a real keyboard. In the contrary, on the touch screen, the buttons for Apple iPhone 3G are larger than on the mini keyboard of a BlackBerry. Also, having a real keyboard for the iPhone would make it only bigger and bulkier. The SMS function on iPhone is the benchmark because the sms are stored in a communications folder and thus I can see it every time easy and simple what I have written. What I’m missing only is the possibility to forward an sms.

iphone 3g apple 300x194 Apple iPhone 3G Review

Apple iPhone 3G is the hallmark of the concept of simple and safe operation, the perfect combination of the iPhone and iTunes and finally, the App Store that allows iPhone I my personal and individual needs to adapt. Other manufacturers must now have this concept of the App Store to compete for their devices (eg, Google, Vodafone and Nokia since May 2009, with the ovi-Store), which is welcome indeed, but in how far this works we should see.

I can only say that in my circle of friends and many have switched to the iPhone 3G and all without exception are very satisfied to the highest degree, love their iPhone 3G and never want to give it away. This is due to the overall concept and because it is so big in the fun factor. I wish all future iPhone users much joy and fun with their Apple iPhone 3G
