The U.S. Attorney said he had no evidence of any wrongdoing on Obama’s part. Jesse Jackson Jr. may or may be so lucky. Jackson has already begun to hire extra attorneys for the possible legal battles ahead. I suspect this whole thing will lead to a change in the ability of Illinois Governors to fill vacancies to the U.S. Senate, just a hunch.

Wild card names that have been thrown out there to replace her in the U.S. Senate include Caroline or Robert Kennedy Jr. Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi can also be thrown in there. Whoever Gov. David Paterson selects he will have taken many different things under consideration.

Dying for a bargain? Not the best way to start off the holiday season. Some shoppers become so obsessed with saving a few bucks that the lives of their fellow bargain hunters take a back seat to their need for conspicuous consumption. Over the years Black Friday has taken on an ominous meaning for some families. Just miles from where I sit now, several people shopped with bloody noses, a black eye and bruised shins. Bullets have flown at the local Wal-Mart and Kmart shoppers have had to duck fists when the last of the Bratz dolls were in question.

OJ Simpson tried to sway the judge with his sad look and quiet voice. Did it work? No, of course not. Did he finally get what he deserved? He said he was sorry, sorry for everything. Reading between the lines - does everything include double murder?
