Tom Brokaw’s Boom!: Lessons from the 1960’s

by: DeanSmithLegend
War, free love, the Haight Ashbury, feminism/civil rights are cogently tackled by NBC broadcaster Tom Brokaw. Brokaw is a man who you can tell feels passionately about these issues. You can also sense in his writing in my view a sense of apprehension about whether or not American can spurn some of the combative nature that we have towards those who may have different political and cultural views then we do. Brokaw is obviously respected as a journalist by all of the famous folks who he ended up interviewing. Otherwise they would not agree to a sit down with him. Brokaw writes an enjoyable book no matter what point of view you take on many of the issues discussed within it.
