Chinese Democracy Finally Released by Guns N Roses

Chinese Democracy is the new and upcoming album by Guns N’ Roses. This music album is to be released worldwide on November 23, 2008. It would be released in United Kingdom on November 24, 2008. This release is the first studio album since 1993. Best buy is slated to sell this album as they hold the exclusive rights to sell them in the United States. This album is rumored to be the first installment in a trilogy of new albums and Guns N’ Roses started to record and write new music for Chinese Democracy in 1994.

This made Chinese Democracy one of the longest and most expensive albums never to be released until now. It will also be Guns N Roses first album in 15 years since the 1993’s "The Spaghetti Incident?"

The only remaining member of the original lineup is lead singer Axl Rose in this new version of Guns N Roses. Slash quit the band in 1996 and then Matt Sorum and McKagan followed. In the year 2000, Rose hired a metal guitarist Bucket head, and drummer Bryan Mantia to replace Freese. Later during the year 2000 the head guitarist Finck rejoined the band as the third guitarist. Guns N’ Roses played their first concert in the Blues in Las Vegas, Nevada. This performance was followed by the most packed live performance at Rock in Rio in the year 2001, during the month of January in front of 190,000 people.

In the March 2005 New York Times, it was reported that production costs for the album have reached about $13 million. The album’s delay was blamed on then band manager Mercuriadis. A release date of March 6 was set in 2007.This was the tentative date mentioned for the album release.

Despite these announcements the album was once again delayed. The band’s road manager has issued a press release and definitively stating that all the recording for the album has been finished. In January 2008, there was news that the album Chinese democracy are with Geffen records, but was delayed due to disagreement in the marketing problems between Rose and the Geffen records. This news had made more and more expectations for the album.

In October 2008, Billboard claimed that Chinese Democracy will be released on November 23, exclusively through the retailer Best Buy in the USA. This was later confirmed by Rolling Stones magazine and by the band’s managers, Irving Azoff.

On October 16, 2008 Best Buy’s website was updated with Chinese Democracy’s album cover and track listing, which confirm 14 tracks in the album. Billboard revealed that the title track from Chinese democracy would be released as its first single in the month of October 2008. Such is the hype of the Chinese Democracy album but will it live up to expectation? The world waits to find out on November 24rd.
