Saw 4 movie review

When the first movie of this series released, I didn’t really watch it because I was not interested in this type of movie. To me it seemed very boring and as I watched Saw 3 last year, I was disgusted and not entertained very much. But to say, the producers and directors along with the cast have worked on the following films much quicker than what I expected! Here we have the fourth installment of the film but already they have nearly or even completed the fifth installment of the series. Here I review this fourth installment.

This film was released on October 26th, 2007. It continues the story of the jigsaw killer.

But as we know, the jigsaw killer had died in Saw 3 at the end. But in this, we have him trying to persuade people to continue his job.

This film was directed by Darren Lynn Busman who had directed Saw 2 and Saw 3.

I’ll give you readers a short plot of the film to let you readers know what it is about. This goes to those who have not watched the film yet or have no interest in watching it.

The film opens when a micro cassette is in the jigsaw killer’s stomach. The cassette is played and there are a few words spoken such as “the games have just begun.” The movie then moves onto a mausoleum. And here we have two people called Trevor and Art chained to a large device. Trevor’s eyelids have been sewn and Art’s mouth has been sewn shut. This prevents them from communicating in any way. As the device starts pulling them together, they panic and Art murders Trevor but only to get a key which was around Trevor’s collar.

Meanwhile, the police discover that Detective Kerry’s body is hanging on a trap that killed her in the previous installment. Later, Rig is informed by a videotape that Detective Mathews is still alive and that he has little time to save himself. Soon, rig undergoes his first test when he finds a women named Brenda. As he goes close to her and takes the pig face from her, the trap is triggered and the trap tears her scalp from her head. But he succeeds in freeing her but suddenly, she tries attacking him with a knife. Luckily, Rig pushes her into a mirror and he disappears.

As the movie continues, there is a lot of horrible, disgusting actions which could make you feel sick. Many of the characters undergo tests to save one another but many of them seem to attack each other to save themselves. Of course the movie is like the previous ones when you have to save someone by undergoing tests and I don’t think I’m helping you there.

The actors who participated in the movie:

Tobin Bell as Jigsaw

Lyriq Bent as Rig

Costas Mandylor as Detective D. Hoffman

Scott Paterson as Agent Peter Strahm

Betsy Russell as Jill Tuck

and i have to admit, i didn't expect the ending eventhough it has jigsaw's imprint all over it.

Another Saw movie? The first one was a good psychological thriller/horror, but I think the series is well past its sell-by date.

I have watched the SAW 4 movie. It is pretty impressive that another one is on the way.
However, for the people who will read the review for the first time, I feel that a lot of "spoilers" are included in this review which spoil the suspense in the movie. I think less information should have been disclosed.
