Google Adsense

I am using Google Adsense for more than 3 years now. As most of you know, it is one of the many Free services offered by Google. Today, there are a few networks who offer similar services like Google Adsense, but billions of internet users who have there own blogs, websites, web pages still prefer Google Adsense as a mean to earn money by dedicating some space on their web pages for displaying advertisements by Google Adsense.

In the last three to four years we have seen a number of ’money making’ opportunities on the world wide web (WWW). People now know, that they can use internet to earn some money without investing or paying any money! Google Adsense is one of the revolutionary, or I would say the only service that launched this very successful concept of advertising services and products on the internet. A few plus points of this system are:

  • Everybody involved benefits! Google Adsense, the Publisher of the Adsense ads and the advertiser, all the three involved in this activity benefit. The advertiser gets a huge number of hits to his website which he could convert into his customers. When these potential customers read this ad on the publishers web page and click on it, the Google Adsense and the Publisher both share the revenue, which is paid by the advertiser. In short, it is a Win-Win situation for all. Of course, not to forget the internet user, who browses through the net, reads an advertisement and clicks on it.

  • Google Adsense acts as a mediator for all the three,
    • Advertiser
    • Publisher
    • The Reader.

In the past three years I have had a chance play all the three roles mentioned above. First I was a reader, where I would typically look for some information, products & services. On finding an appropriate advertisement, I clicked on it and went to the particular website and did the needful. After that I became a Google Adsense member and started displaying the ads on my blogs and also earned a handsome amount. In the recent past, I registered for Google Adwords and started displaying my own advertisements on the other websites, blogs through Google Adsense. This is how it typically works:

  • Advertisers who wish to advertise their products and services register on Google Adwords and compose their text advertisement or design and upload an image advertisement. Set a price per click depending on the daily/monthly budget considering the placement of the ad on a number of websites and networks.

  • Publishers who wish to display Google Adsense advertisements on their websites register with Google Adsense and choose how the ads would be displayed on their site. The publisher could decide the ad formats, placement on the web page, color of the link and text in the ad etc.

  • The most important part is that these advertisements will be displayed on web pages with relative content. Google crawls the contents of a web page and decides to put particular ads on that page. So that the reader sees relevant ads on the web page he is visiting and could find more appropriate information he is looking for. This also increases the probability of getting clicks on the ads resulting money for the Publishes as well as Google Adsense and good relevant traffic and more hits to the advertiser’s website.

Many of you may have your own blogs and websites where you share things you like, products you like etc. Many of you may already be using Google Adsense and making a little money online, to support your domain, hosting fees. Those who are new to the blogging world could try this amazing service and not only support the hosting needs but also earn more money through the website or blog.

You can register for the service here and start with your blog to make a decent online income, today!

Thanks for reading!

very informative and clear for people who are new to the concept. You could have further given some steps on how to earn more money than just supporting the hosting fee. This would help a lot of people who are looking to make money through their blogs.

Google adsense are a great websit to earn money IF THAT IS WHEN ADS ARE CLICKED ON! I've been a member for quite a while and i didn't earn anything! Plus, Google terminate accounts if they find invalid clicks but sometimes its not the person's fault. Plus, i had a family member sign up and next thing you know, they cancel mine! What a waste of time! I didn't even do anything!

Hopefully, they will improve their services. But i must say, Google can be a place to earn money if your working at home!

Great article! I have recently begun using google adsense and I'm very pleased with it. Of course, you have to have traffic to make money so it takes some promotion of your blog/website to make a significant amount of clicks/money. All in all, it hasn't been that difficult for me. Thanks for the info. :)

Google Adsense is really nice, however, we need to be very carefull, especially with our family members. If they are browsing the internet also and you are using the same computer or different computer but have the same IP, then you are in trouble if this IP is the one being registered with Adsense. It will be considered as invalid click by Adsense. You did a great article presentation and can be easily understand by those new to this system. I was using Adsense also for about 2 years, unfortunately, I haven't reach yet my minimum payout for this system since I don't have much clicks for the adds. I can have as many traffic but bear in mind that you only earn when somebody click on the ads on your site.

Interesting article, but what most people need to know is that you actually have to work at driving traffic to your site - not just put up ads and start raking in the money. if you're just writing about your life, then you probably won't have a lot of traffic

I have been doing adsense for over three years and I only have $75.00 to show for it. Apparently adsense does a lot better if your site has a high ranking.
