Diablo 3 Announced! Expect it to put Diablo 2 to shame!

Diablo 3 Unveiled!

On June 28th Blizzard officially announced the release of Diablo 3! Here is a quote from their website: III Unveiled!

“Twenty years have passed since the cataclysmic events of Diablo® II. Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal have been defeated, but the Worldstone, which once shielded the world of Sanctuary from the forces of both the High Heavens and the Burning Hells, has been destroyed, and evil once again stirs in Tristram....

Following the unveiling of Diablo III today at the Blizzard Entertainment Worldwide Invitational, we've launched the game's official website, with information about the places, characters, monsters, and adventures awaiting you upon your return to the world of Sanctuary. Some of the site's highlights include:

The cinematic teaser trailer shown at the 2008 Worldwide Invitational
A 20-minute gameplay demo video
More than 60 screenshots and pieces of concept art
Deckard Cain's journal, narrated by Deckard Cain himself -- stay a while and listen!

Why yes of course it will put Diablo 2 to shame...But then, they're from the same developer, which is Blizzard. So they will really make an effort to make the game better. Just like starcraft 2 and warcraft 3 have been. Ow, sorry, starcraft 2 is still not out yet. Blizzard has a good record when it comes to sequels, because they make an effort to make it a better experience.

Now think about interplay. They have this Fallout franchise, which is an epic game for most of us who liked that turn-based literally bloody game. Then Bethesda bought the franchise, and made the game like their Oblivion, while maintaining the old features. Then they are saying we whine because they change the game so much...That we shouldn't live in the past and get a move on.

Diablo 3 will definitely be a hack and slash game, just like everyone liked it. So if they can't understand that about Fallout, then...aw.

My comments definitely off-topic. But then, it's just a sentiment for me...Anyways I will still play Fallout 3. And for Diablo 3 I once again congratulate the PC gaming community for this victory...Let's play coop mode on battlenet together!!!

Diablo III will be AWESOME!

I cannot wait for this game, it's going to be amazing. I was a dedicated fan to Diablo II and played it for many years.

Although many of the original creators of Diablo have long left Blizzard (you may have seen some of their more recent work in games such as Hellgate London), I still feel that Diablo III will be nothing short of incredible.

I really love the fact that they have kept true to many aspects of the earlier games - I can only hope they add the Sorceress once more as one of the playable characters! Go teleport! I also am keeping my fingers crossed that they have a hardcore mode (although I don't see why they wouldn't...it had great response in Diablo II) I also am hoping they continue to keep Diablo a free MMO to play. I feel by adding any monthly fees it will only hurt themselves in the end by competing against World of WarCraft.

I saw the trailer and I I like the images,the colors are great, and the sound is cool, I can't wait to know all the new ideas, the new characters and the new features and I hope this game will be as good as the other two.
