What You Should Know About Cookie’s Upcoming Album

You heard it right. David Cook, the freshest American Idol Champ has signed a recording contract with 19Recordings/RCA Records as part of his AI winning prize. Just last month, the people on the said recording company had their spirits soaring upon welcoming the latest addition to their line of stars who have been successful in their recording careers.

Tim Corson, General Manager and Executive VP of the RCA records said that he (Cook) is an extraordinary and versatile musical artist, and that they are thrilled having him in the family.

The much anticipated album of David Cook is due on fall and in barely three months time, it is indeed accurate and safe to say that Cook will, once again, hold a record. Just having set a record after only a week upon winning idol in the Billboard charts, there is no question that his upcoming album would do the same.

As his first single, “Time of My Life” has become the most popular single debut of an Idol since season 2, and becoming the only artist to have 17 tracks on the Hot 100 Digital Songs on Billboard, there is really no doubt about his next album’s commercial success. Furthermore, he has proved this claim with his pre-Idol album entitled “Analog Heart” which became number one on Amazon.com but was removed on the list shortly to avoid issues about his eligibility in Idol.

As stated by Cook, it would most likely be a rock album- as he wants his album to fully reflect what his likes are and what genre he is born to sing. Although a versatile singer, Cook wants to initially give his fans and supporters the thing in which he excels the most. Plans are underway for the line-up of songs in his album. It was also released that the same writers of the song who created Leona Lewis’ all time hit “Bleeding Love” would also co-write the songs in Cook’s album.

A pre-order listing for Cook’s soon-to-be-released album is also hitting the charts like pancakes. In fact, in Amazon.com’ statistics, the pre-orders of the album ranked as high as number 2, falling short below Coldplay. Meanwhile, David Cook would be part of the American Idol Concert Tour which will premiere on July 1 in Arizona and will commence September 13 in Cook’s hometown, Tulsa, Oklahoma.

David Cook has embarked on a journey of stardom and commercial success. Let’s just hope he makes the right album, chooses the right tracks and surprises us even more, as what he did in Idol.

We had a similar competition here in Kosovo. The winners and most of the participants are now famous, just because they took part in that competition. I am glad that David Cook became famous, and I am a hundred percent sure that this album will be successful! Congratulations for this great article!

Joining a contest like Idol certainly gives new and unknown artists exposure, and serves as a launching pad for them and their careers. The good thing about this format is that the artists go not only get to show their talent, but they can also get help from someone in the business. I'm a big fan of Cookie and I'm looking forward to his album.

i really like your article, actually, any article with david cook in it is worth reading. right now, 'time of my life' is the only cook single played in the philippine airwaves. that is aside from the songs he did in the AI stage. i really can't wait to purchase cook's album once it is out in the philippine market.
