Diet Using Chinese Medicine
While people nowadays like to do temporary diet, people who like to keep their health and fitness can try various type of diet such as Atkins diet, Zone diet, South Beach diet and many more. More peoples like to use and practice Chinese medicine that using 'yin' and 'yang' principles to take care health.
Chinese believe that every type of food can be categories into 'yin' (food with cold elements) and 'yang' (food with hot elements). Unbalance between 'Yin' and 'yang' elements can produce damaging power. Example, overload or lack of 'yin' and yang' elements can damage the harmonization in our body.
So, how to determine energy in your body?
The simplest way is to know your Chinese zodiac which includes 12 years recycle with every year named by different animals name to show elements of that particular year. Most of Chinese believes that someone birthday is the main factor to determine someone personality, physical and mental appearance and how far their success and happiness would they achieve in their whole life. Every zodiac years have different energy ('yin' and 'yang') which will influence someone health.
Food that we eat and important energy in our body which calls 'chi' is related and influences each other. By knowing every element that influences our birth year in Chinese zodiac, we can keep our health with balancing our 'chi' by choosing what we eat. Generally, 'yang' food rich with food energy including energy from fat, while 'yin' food including lots of water.
Those who strong influence by 'yang' (that is rat, tiger, horse) and like to eat 'yang' food, they are more likely to have problems related to heat like blooded nose. The best way to keep this into balance when this condition happen is to get 'yin' food that helps to cool your body such as fruits and dark green vegetables.
Those who get influence by 'yin' are more likely to get anemia and tiredness. To overcome all that symptoms, they can eat 'yang' food such as mango, meat and dairy products. Whatever you eat and drinks give big influence to your health and your 'chi', depends on strongest element that influences your birth year. Whatever type and style of your life that you choose, the most important step is choose to live with balance diet and active lifestyle. Use the food pyramid as your guide and if you did not sure which diet fit you best, eat more fiber food, more fruits and vegetables also try to reduce your meat that you eat.
