Tips for Winster Players

After reading the guides you should be good to go in playing games on Winster. However there are some tips and etiquette that many users don't know.

First and most importantly, talking all in caps, even if you are a host is considered rude and YELLING. If you are having problems reading doesn't mean everyone else is, and you can adjust your computer settings so as not to offend anyone.

Secondly, be nice and grateful that others have traded or given you pieces. Always say thank you. Many people say thanks in any of the following forms: tyvm (which means thank you very much), tysm (which means thank you so much), ty (thank you), thx (thanks), thanks, thank you. Doing your thanks in caps is considered ok, but overall conversation is not. Welcomes come in the following forms: w (welcome), yw (you're welcome), yvw (you're very welcome), ywvm (you're welcome very much), and welcome. If you don't understand whatever response you get, don't be shy, just ask, it's the only way to learn.

One of the most important tips, when someone asks you to play cherries in slots, do it! Here's how you play, when you spin a cherry and it's in the red box where your spins appear leave it there until it fades. You can still trade and even go for jackpots, but the reason you do it this way is because. If 3 do it, you get 60 points, if 4 you get 150 if 5 get the cherry you get 500 points! It's amazing how quickly this racks up along with whatever you are attempting to get in your slots. It's hard at first to get into the hang on things, but once you get the timing sorted of the spins, and trades it all works out. It's just hard to find a full room that wishes to play this because most people think playing cherries is playing to keep cherries or trade them, and it's not, and now you know.

When trading and someone asks you to hold a piece, that means you should not trade, or spin off or use the item they are asking you to hold on to. And certainly do not leave the room! If your connection is bad, don't offer to hold and explain why. Other wise they may assume you are just being rude. There is a problem with trading though, sometimes people will trade pieces and assume you are going to give them back after they cash out. Be sure to ask "keep?" So that way you are covered should you spin a piece that would get you a jackpot with whatever they traded. This often becomes a problem when users are trading wildcards. I've seen many users leave upset because they assumed or didn't bother to say anything at all, or simply changed their mind at the last minute.

Don't assume just because a person is a host that they are nice people. I'm slightly heart broken to have to say this considering I've been a host in chat rooms and such before. I don't think or feel that Winster has an exact rules or etiquette for them to follow because I've seen many that I certainly wouldn't want as my staff. They have been rude, short tempered, and greedy! I've been temped to report a few but figured they were having a bad day or something.

When it comes to weekends, as a paying member I would recommend logging in, getting your allocated spins and leaving. The reason why is because the weekends are the worst. It's when there are a lot of newbies who will not share, and do not read. They will take your offers but they won't offer to trade. They don't really know how to play and when you explain, or offer help they want nothing of it. Weekends are when you want to make a private room to escape the abuse of others, but sadly they removed this option from everyone but gold members. So if you play weekends prepare for a lot of wasted spins and no trading, and hosts seem to be little or no help at all.
