WOW Wiki to Beat the Learning Curve
I just got the World of Warcraft sometime after Christmas this year. I know a few people who play it, but have never played it myself.
For a noob player like myself, taking my first look at this game is a bit overwhelming. The game is so massive and deep that it is literally a whole other world.
If you too are a new customer to WoW, then taking a look at the
WoW
Wiki will save you a lot of time. The Wikipedia does a great job
teaching what you need to know first before getting started. This reference doesn't go into any detail of quests and other more involved strategies, but it is useful for new WoW gamers.
I suggest anyone read this through its entirety before even installing the game. With all the different races and classes, even picking your character can be a struggle, and the Wiki does a great job explaining the characters, classes, professions, etc...
The
WOW Wiki first goes over the general gameplay of the game, such as the characters and the world that they will be living in.
It also covers the development that the MMORPG (Massive Mulitplayer Online Role Playing Game) has been undertaking, and the Realms that you can playing. A quick example of a Realm, is something like PvE (Player vs. Environment), or PvP (Player vs. Player).
Before I sign off, I want to mention that this game has shown heavy signs of addictiveness. Mainly because in 2005 a child died due to the neglect of the parents playing WoW. True story, I didn't make that up. You can also read more about that in the WoW Wiki. So before you start playing this game, keep in mind your family and other loved ones.
So if you have a second. Head over to the
WoW Wiki, and beat the learning curve!
