Tom Brady Doubles Interception Stat vs Colts

Yesterday afternoon, November 4th, 2007, the New England Patriots played against the Indianapolis Colts.  I think it goes without saying that a lot of eyes were watching this game, and I think that everyone could agree that the Colts, mainly Joseph Addai, were in control of most of this game. Manning really wasn't able to use his arm that much due to a few factors.  Harrison and Gonzalez were both out, and the Patriots were guarding the pass the whole game. Even though the Patriots had a very difficult time chasing after Addai, they did manage to pull out a win against the Colts, 24 to 20. Tom Brady had a very good game; however, he may not view the win like that.

The Colts held the lead through most of the game. At one point, they were actually up 20 to 10 in the third quarter. Within nearly five minutes, the score changed from 20-10 to 20-24 giving the Patriots the lead and the Colts jaws flat on the ground. Some would say that Indianapolis "dropped the ball", and others will say that the Patriots finally showed up to play. I would have to side with the Patriots on this one.  They pretty much let Addai run all over them in the first half.  Then in the third and fourth quarter, he kept running into a wall, and that is about when the Colts fell apart.

After the game, the Patriots were all smiles and hugs, all of them with the exception of Tom Brady. Before the game, Brady has thrown over 150 passes without one interception. He had 2 so far this season, with over 30 touchdown passes.  Those are stats no one can really laugh at.  Watching last night's game, and seeing Moss grab the ball out of the air with one hand, kind of makes you realize that Brady and Manning aren't all-time great quarterbacks as much as they are hyped up. Without Harrison, Manning is like every other mortal quarterback.  Without Moss, Brady would NEVER have had the stats he did, and would not be talked about near as much.

Going into the third quarter, comparing Brady and Manning's stats looked one sided.  Manning's stats were vastly superior to Brady's.  This changed very quickly however.  With two huge catches, Brady overtook Manning in the stat books.  He did throw two interceptions this game trying to get off some big throws into scary territory.  Even though they won, Brady walked to the locker room with his head hung low.

ANOTHER DIP-SHIT ANALYSIS OF A ONCE-IN-A-LIFETIME NFL MATCHUP!

Why do you think it is a once in a lifetime match up? Hell, just last year they played together in the Superbowl for a great game. I'm just curious on what you mean by "once-in-a-lifetime"?

Great QBs

Manning and Brady are definitely the best QBs in the NFL. I would have to disagree with your comment that they are good because of their receivers. To a certain degree, I do believe what you say is true. I know I just contradicted myself, but what comes to mind is the Eagles QB. When TO played for philly, all you heard about was how good of a QB he was. Now that TO left, I don't even know if he is still playing football, lol.Good post!

First of all who really cares about this game. I for one am tired of the media blowing their wad over the Colts and Patriots. There were 13 other games played this weekend and many of them were a lot more important and will go a helluva lot further in determining who will make the playoffs. It has already been determined that the Colts and Patriots will make the playoffs pending a bad case of gonaherpesiphalaids. Who knows how many reporters prematurely ejaculated in the locker rooms after the game. As the Stoolers proved a couple of years ago, once you make the playoffs anything can happen. Home field can make a difference but is not as important as having a healthy team with momentum heading into the post season. Since I live in Indy I was pretty much forced to watched the skeetfest at the RCA Dome, no pun intended. Fox happened to be carrying the Browns Seahawks game, but the local Fox station instead chose to air a taped boxing match. People in Indy don't realize that everyone that lives in Indy doesn't want to join their bandwagon orgy. Pretty pathetic. Luckily I was able to find the Browns on a live stream on the internet and that game which was filled with plenty of offense and a very exciting overtime....and the game most likely will turn out to be a lot more important for the Browns, who will be fighting for every last victory to make the playoffs, than a win Sunday would have meant for either the Colts or the Pats.

And Gonzalez did play part of the game and had a catch Doug so don't give the Colts another excuse.

Dynasty? Maybe. I'm just happy to have watched the game. Nothing wrong with another one in the win column, but it is true that it all comes down to the big game -- that's generally what most people remember.

Great season so far...
